Formed in 2005, the Bridge-Gate Alliance group offers a premium line of disposable dinnerware made from natural fibers. Our goal is to produce high-end compostable products as an alternative to flimsy compostable items, polystyrene foam, paper and plastic.
Initially, Bridge-Gate worked with other manufacturers to design a line of compostable serving ware made of bagasse (sugar cane by-products). Bagasse was a popular natural crop source at the time, but over the years, we realized that wheat by-products provided a better base material. It is more durable, lightweight and compostable and the manufacturing process uses less water and lowers the overall carbon footprint.
As a result, Bridge-Gate has a full line of food carry-out products and includes plates, bowls, platters and hingeware. We out-perform other serving ware, as well as surpass all relevant tests and regulations for compostable products:
- Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) Certified
- Exceeds standards from FDA and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) ASTM D6868 and ASTM D6400.
- Exceeds GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations
- Accepted by Cedar Grove (considered the toughest standard for compostable)
In addition, Bridge-Gate’s serving ware is freezer-safe and microwave-safe, and able to hold hot liquids, greasy foods and frozen items. We’re not only one of the best performing dinnerware on the market, but also the most earth friendly: petroleum-free, non-toxic, non-allergenic, renewable and compostable.
Bridge-Gate has a nationwide distribution system that makes our products available throughout North America. Bridge-Gate’s customers include foodservice operators, distributors, cash and carry warehouses and retail grocers.
With the growing importance of sustainable resources to the food industry, Bridge-Gate is committed to providing products that uphold the highest standards of quality and reflect our dedication to the environment.
