Restaurants “Get REAL” in Recognizing Nutritious, Sustainable Food

Restaurants of all sizes have jumped on the health bandwagon in recent years. From McDonald’s to neighborhood diners, restaurants are promoting their healthier approach to food.  These changes can be as overt as offering salads instead of French fries in combination plates, to less obvious moves such as switching out cooking oils or ingredients.

These organic and “buying local” trends have obviously resonated with consumers, especially the aging baby boomers who are experiencing more health and mortality issues.
