Our Fourth of July Thoughts

Bridge-Gate is active in social media and we follow news, trends and legislation that affects carry out containers.

It is obvious that momentum is building in many communities around the country to ban Styrofoam and plastic carry out containers. We began the Bridge-Gate Alliance Group, because we believe in the idea of responsible consumerism. Our landfills are, well … filling, and at some point, we will run out of room. Restaurant packaging is one of the items where we as responsible consumers can really make a choice.

Better Than Styrofoam

Do you realize Americans used and threw away 2.5 billion Styrofoam cups last year!

The landfills also bulged from the millions of Styrofoam food containers, packing peanuts, etc. With so many environmentally sound alternatives – especially in food packaging – why do we tolerate so much Styrofoam?
